These 5-Ingredient Oreo Balls (Truffles) are a delightful treat that brings together the rich flavor of Oreos and creamy cheese. Perfect for parties, they’re simple to make and deliciously satisfying. A must-try for all dessert lovers!
Ingredients
Scale
- 36 oreo cookies, or similar substitute*
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup full fat cottage cheese
- 12 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped, white chocolate or chocolate chips
- 2–3 teaspoons coconut oil
Instructions
- Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse them until they become a fine powder.
- Mix in the softened cream cheese and cottage cheese until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Take about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into balls. Arrange the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for approximately 30 minutes or until they are firm.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate with the coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until it's fully smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler if desired.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the parchment paper.
- While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with toppings such as crushed Oreos, sprinkles, or sea salt if you like.
- Refrigerate the truffles until the chocolate has completely set, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
Feel free to customize toppings based on your preference.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
