Description

These Delicious Grinch Oreo Balls bring a festive spirit to your dessert table. With their creamy filling and striking color, they make a delightful treat perfect for holiday gatherings. Easy to prepare and deliciously irresistible, these bite-sized balls feature red velvet Oreos and a vibrant green candy coating, making them a charming addition to any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24.4 ounces red velvet oreos
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 15 ounces light green candy melts
  • red candy hearts

Instructions

  • Prepare the Baking Sheet: Start by lining a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Crush the Oreos: In a food processor, pulse the Red Velvet Oreos into fine crumbs, about 30 seconds.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese until smooth, then add crushed Oreo crumbs.
  • Shape the Balls: Use a 1.5-inch cookie scoop to portion the mixture and roll into smooth balls.
  • Chill: Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours.
  • Melt the Candy Coating: Melt the light green candy melts in a double boiler or microwave.
  • Dip the Balls: Dip each ball into the melted green candy, using a fork to ensure full coating.
  • Decorate: Drizzle extra melted candy over the dipped balls and place a red candy heart on top.
  • Set and Store: Place the tray back in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to let the coating set.

Notes

For a different flavor, substitute regular Oreos for the red velvet variety.
Mascarpone cheese can be used instead of cream cheese for a richer taste.
