Description
Grinch Oreos present a fun twist with red velvet cookies dipped in green candy melts. This easy-to-make treat is festive and visually appealing, perfect for holiday gatherings or a sweet snack. Enjoy irresistible flavors in every bite!
Ingredients
- light green candy melts – 10 ounces
- red velvet oreos – 12.2 ounces
- red heart sprinkles – 24 pieces
- dark green sanding sugar – 1 tablespoon (optional)
Instructions
- Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. Reserve ½ cup of light green candy melt pieces for later.
- Melt the remaining candy melts in a double boiler over low heat, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Alternatively, melt in the microwave in 30-second intervals.
- Using a fork, dip a Red Velvet Oreo cookie into the melted candy and lift it out, tapping the fork against the bowl to remove excess.
- Place the dipped cookie on the prepared tray and repeat with the other Oreos.
- Place the reserved ½ cup of candy melts in a microwave-safe piping bag. Melt on low power, massaging the bag every minute until melted.
- Snip a small tip from the piping bag and drizzle the melted candy over the dipped Oreos in a zig-zag pattern.
- Immediately sprinkle a red heart on each cookie and optionally add green sanding sugar.
- Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature or in the fridge before serving.
Notes
Ensure cookies are fully covered to achieve a nice coating.
Allow enough time for the chocolate to set for the best results.
