Description

These Peanut Butter Blossoms are delightful cookies featuring a soft peanut butter base topped with a creamy chocolate kiss. Perfect for celebrations, they are easy to make and irresistibly delicious, making them a favorite for holiday gatherings and cookie exchanges.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups light brown sugar
  • 0.75 cups unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 24 milk chocolate hershey’s kisses

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until just combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the peanut butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Roll the dough into one-inch balls, about 24 in total, and coat each ball in granulated sugar. Place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after baking, then allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute the egg with a flax egg.
Ensure the butter is properly softened to achieve the right texture in the dough.
For a flavor twist, try using different varieties of chocolate kisses instead of the standard milk chocolate.
