Instructions

  2. Cream the butter and sugar together on high speed for 3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla, and almond extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredient mixture on low speed until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough in half and roll each piece to a thickness of 1/4 inch between parchment paper.
  6. Stack the rolled dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut out shapes and arrange them 3 inches apart on lined baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 11-12 minutes until the edges are firm.
  9. Allow cookies to cool completely before decorating.
