Description

These Valentine’s Day Truffles are a perfect blend of vanilla Oreos and cream cheese coated in white chocolate, making them a delicious and simple treat to share with loved ones. With an irresistible flavor and easy preparation, these homemade delights are perfect for anyone looking to impress on Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 vanilla oreos about 15 ounces
  • 1 8-ounce block cream cheese softened
  • 1416 ounces white chocolate melts *see notes
  • red oil-based food coloring optional (or powdered)
  • sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper and set it aside in the freezer or fridge.
  • Crush the Oreos in a food processor until they become fine crumbs, doing this in 10-second increments.
  • Transfer the cookie crumbs to a mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese, and mix until well combined, ideally using your hands.
  • Scoop out about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into smooth balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes or chill in the fridge for an hour.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, or use a double boiler setup with a metal bowl over simmering water.
  • Once melted, if you want colored chocolate, add red oil-based food coloring or powdered dye gradually to achieve your desired shade.
  • Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate using a fork, ensuring they are fully coated, and tap off excess chocolate before placing them back on the sheet.
  • If drizzling, chill the truffles for about 10 minutes, then create decorative patterns as you wish.
  • If using sprinkles, add them while the chocolate is still wet, allowing the chocolate to set on the counter for about 2 hours.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
Store truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for longer freshness.
Feel free to customize with different colored food decorations for various occasions.
