Description

These Acorn Donut Holes are a delightful treat, featuring glazed donut holes dipped in chocolate and decorated with sprinkles and pretzels. Perfect for gatherings or a sweet snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 glazed donut holes
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips
  • 10–20 pretzel sticks
  • ¾ cup chocolate jimmies sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Snap long pretzel sticks in half to use only 10, if needed.
  2. In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Pour the chocolate sprinkles into a separate bowl and set it nearby.
  4. Dip the top of each donut hole into the melted chocolate, scraping off excess, then immediately dip into the sprinkles.
  5. Gently press a pretzel stick into the chocolate-covered tip of the donut hole to create the acorn stem, avoiding knocking off the sprinkles.
  6. Place the finished donut holes on a parchment-lined tray, and repeat with the rest.
  7. Chill in the fridge or freezer for 5 minutes to let the chocolate set, or enjoy them right away while melty.

Notes

Use mini pretzel sticks for a more detailed acorn look.
Store leftover donut holes in an airtight container for up to two days.
Experiment with different sprinkles for various holiday themes.
