- 1 ¼ cups (211g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 32 unwrapped Kraft caramel squares

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a 9-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt, then set it aside.
- In a large mixer bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and sugar at medium speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy and light in color.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until fully incorporated.
- Slowly incorporate the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined—avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a silicone spatula, ensuring everything is mixed evenly to create a uniform cookie dough.

For a richer flavor, allow the cookie bars to cool completely before slicing.
These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
