- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 8 oz (227 grams) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup (114 grams) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups (455 grams) heavy cream
- 2–3 cups fresh fruit, sliced or chopped small
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a mixer bowl, beat together the softened butter and both sugars until creamy for about 3-5 minutes. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until just combined.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar. Gradually combine this with the butter mixture, mixing on low until it forms a thick dough.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheet pan, flattening them slightly, and spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for about 9-10 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool completely.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
