These Mermaid Cupcakes are a delightful treat featuring vanilla buttercream and colorful candy tails, perfect for any celebration. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious!

- 24 cupcakes baked and cooled
- 1 recipe vanilla buttercream
- 10 ounces white candy melts
- gel food coloring: pink, purple, teal

Instructions
- Melt the candy melts in three microwave-safe bowls in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth. You may add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil if needed.
- Color each bowl of melted candy with gel food coloring in pink, purple, and teal.
- Transfer each color into individual small ziploc bags and cut off one tip. Pipe the colors into your mermaid tail molds.
- Once set, carefully remove the colored tails from the molds.
- Divide the frosting into three bowls and color each with the same gel food colors.
- On a piece of plastic wrap, lay each frosting color in a horizontal line so they touch. Roll up tightly and twist the ends.
- Fit a pastry bag with a 1M star tip and add one twisted end of the frosting. Squeeze until the frosting colors swirl together.
- Frost the cupcakes and sprinkle with sprinkles. Top each with a candy mermaid tail.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Notes
Using paper bowls can help with easy cleanup while melting candy melts.
Make sure to allow the tails to set completely before removing them from the molds.
Store any leftover cupcakes in an airtight container for freshness.
