Description

No-Fry Fried Ice Cream is a delightful treat that combines the creamy goodness of vanilla ice cream with the crunchy texture of corn flakes. It’s an easy, homemade dessert that’s perfect for parties or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12-ounce) box Corn Flakes Cereal
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 to 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 1/2 gallon Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Honey, for drizzling
  • Caramel Sauce, for drizzling
  • Whipped Cream, for topping
  • Maraschino Cherries, for topping
  • Strawberries, for topping
  • Chocolate Syrup, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Crush the Corn Flakes cereal in its package using a rolling pin until finely crushed.
  2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and cinnamon; cook until bubbly (about 4-5 minutes) until smooth.
  3. Stir in the corn flakes until well coated. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  4. Scoop ice cream into balls, roll to shape like a baseball.
  5. Roll each ice cream ball in the corn flake mixture to coat thoroughly, then place on a tray lined with wax paper.
  6. Freeze until firm, about 1-2 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve with drizzles of honey or caramel sauce, topped with whipped cream, cherries, and optional strawberries or chocolate syrup.

Notes

Make sure to let the ice cream soften a bit for easier scooping.
Freezing the coated ice cream balls for a longer time ensures they stay firm during serving.
Experiment with other toppings to customize your dessert.
