Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12-ounce) box Corn Flakes Cereal
- 1/2 cup Salted Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
- 1/2 gallon Vanilla Ice Cream
- Honey, for drizzling
- Caramel Sauce, for drizzling
- Whipped Cream, for topping
- Maraschino Cherries, for topping
- Strawberries, for topping
- Chocolate Syrup, for drizzling
Instructions
- Crush the Corn Flakes cereal in its package using a rolling pin until finely crushed.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and cinnamon; cook until bubbly (about 4-5 minutes) until smooth.
- Stir in the corn flakes until well coated. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Scoop ice cream into balls, roll to shape like a baseball.
- Roll each ice cream ball in the corn flake mixture to coat thoroughly, then place on a tray lined with wax paper.
- Freeze until firm, about 1-2 hours or overnight.
- Serve with drizzles of honey or caramel sauce, topped with whipped cream, cherries, and optional strawberries or chocolate syrup.
Notes
Make sure to let the ice cream soften a bit for easier scooping.
Freezing the coated ice cream balls for a longer time ensures they stay firm during serving.
Experiment with other toppings to customize your dessert.
