Description

Treat yourself to creamy Soft Serve Frozen Yogurt made with heavy cream and Greek yogurt. This recipe is perfect for a hot day, with flavors like chocolate or strawberry to satisfy your cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ⅔ cups (13 fl oz/400 ml) heavy whipping cream
  • ⅔ cup (5 oz/142 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 ¾ cup (14 oz/395 g) unsweetened greek yogurt
  • 24 frozen yogurt cubes
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 large (or 3 small) fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream and granulated sugar over medium heat.
  2. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves, approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a heat-proof jug and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix in the Greek yogurt until smooth, and pour into ice cube trays. Freeze for at least 4 hours or up to 4 weeks.
  5. To prepare plain frozen yogurt, blend 8 frozen yogurt cubes in a food processor with 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt until soft serve consistency is achieved.
  6. Serve immediately or freeze for a maximum of 1 hour for a soft serve texture.
  7. For chocolate frozen yogurt, blend 8 frozen yogurt cubes with cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of milk until achieving soft serve consistency.
  8. For strawberry frozen yogurt, blend 8 frozen yogurt cubes with fresh strawberries until soft serve consistency is reached.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by altering the sugar amount as needed.
For a creamier texture, let the mixture chill longer before churning.
Feel free to experiment with different fruit toppings or mix-ins.
