- 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth, then mix in the matcha powder and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until the mixture is well combined.
- Gently fold in the flour until no streaks remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and flatten it out.
- Drizzle the cooled matcha ganache over the batter evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
Make sure to cool the matcha ganache slightly before drizzling it to maintain the layered effect.
